As part of our 30th anniversary celebrations, we are inviting artists to enter our ‘Art in the Park’ competition. Prizes are up for grabs in three different age categories for 2D artwork relating to the theme of ‘Water in our world’.
Helping everyone live and work sustainably with water is the aim of our owners, HR Wallingford. By choosing ‘water in our world’ as the competition theme, the company wants to encourage people to think about the role and importance of water in our lives.
Participants in the competition are free to interpret ‘water in our world’ as they wish, but are encouraged to visit our lovely grounds for inspiration. There is much to inspire, including the historic manor house with its sweeping lawn and café terrace, the riverbank, tree-lined avenues, wildflower patches, rose beds among the former stable buildings, a plethora of butterflies, bee hives, and a solar park.
First prize in the over-18s category is £500 while two highly commended entries will receive a £250 prize each. Winners in each of the two junior categories will receive a £50 prize each for themselves and £250 for their nominated school or youth group to spend on art supplies.
The deadline for entries is 31 July 2024. For more details and to enter, go to our art competition page.
